This includes independent research, selection, application and evaluation of theories and practices for conceptual design and building of  a pasta bridge (e.g. from spaghetti, macaroni, etc. ).

Key qualifications:
Training of skills for effective, self-organized work in groups and training of capacity for teamwork and for the independent development of contents for the conceptual design and the construction of a building structure (using the example of a bridge construction). The work in small groups is intended to initiate a team development and promote communication processes. In the course of this, suitable forms of work and organizational forms are to be found within the small groups, in order to manage the design and construction of the pasta-bridge construction, directly and successfully in an independent way.

Target group:
Students from all faculties / departments of the University

Contents:
The course is intended to familiarize the participants with the procedure for conception and design of a building structure, using the example of a bridge, and thereby arouse interest in a possible area of assignment of the engineering profession. The goal is to train the ability of working in an effective and constructive way in the frame of a joint project team. In addition, students are expected to master independently appropriate methods and techniques within the project and use them to build the most stable pasta bridge under compliance with specific competition rules.
