Introduction to Linguistics
Contents:
This course introduces you to the most important aspects of the history of the English language. We will focus on phonological, morphological, syntactic and semantic characteristics and developments by analysing text samples from various periods of English.
Literature:
A list with selected readings will be provided in the first session.
Supplementary events:
There will an additional tutorial to this class which prepares you for the the Prüfungsleistung/Modulprüfung which will be an oral exam. The tutorial starts in the second week of the semester and (expectedly) will take place on Thursday 1pm-2pm.
