Requirements and recommendations:
Principles of mechatronics and systems engineering,
Control engineering,
Matlab/simulink in mechatronics,
Engineering Mechanics - dynamics,
Modeling and simulation I
Aim of the event:
Modelling is an essential part in computer-based design of mechatronic systems and in the analysis of the dynamic behavior by simulation. The lecture imparts different methods for generating equations of motion and for analyzing models with nonlinear simulation. Furthermore, the students should be able to execute a simulation and to evaluate the results of a simulation.
Target group:
The course is addressed to the students of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, techno mathematics and information science in engineering.
Contents:
1. Introduction and overview
2. Digital simulation in mechatronics
3. Methods for model simplification
4. Mechanical systems
5. Generate differential equations
6. Nonlinear simulation
7. Introduction in discrete systems
8. Model-based design and integration
9. Tools for modeling and simulation
