Aim of the event:
Natural and technical sciences provide means, which increase the life standard of all people. Nevertheless they comprise risks. A very important topic is to protect our environment. This lecture deals with the main terms of ecology and law and the resulting duties. Processes of the environment sustaining production with almost closed loops of material and minimized paths of emission in technical processes are shown.

Target group:
Students of the engineering,

chemical and economical sciences;

interested students of technical or non-technical lecture or exercise

Contents:
1.Introduction

- Environmental situation. Food and food chain

- Waste and pollutants. Instruments of governmental control

- Tasks of the environment sustaining production

2.Treatment of reusable and waste materials

- Types of waste and ways of disposal. Packages

- Storage of waste. Waste-sorting plants. Recycling plants

- Composting. Deposit. Thermal treatment

3.Optimization of splinter storage and the application of coolant/ lubrication solvent in machine tools.

- Optimal collecting and storage of swarfs

- Maintenance and disposing of coolant/ lubrication solvent

4.Dangerous substances, Evaluation and distinguishing

- Responsibility. Work place evaluation. DIN safety

5.Storage and disposal of dangerous materials

- Disposal of materials which need control. Process of supply notes

6.Water and waste-water

- Protection of waters. District waste water treatment plant. Recycling of process water

7.Air pollution Control

- Structure of the atmosphere. Greenhouse effect.

- Flue gas cleaning. Dust cleaners. Air cleaning
