Aim of the event:
Execution, interpretation and analysis of rheological standard experiments will be demonstrated and discussed. The students are given the opportunity to utilise their theoretical knowledge by applying it to practical problems.

1. Low pressure cappillary Rheometer

- Ubbelohde-viscosimeter

- Determination of the molar mass of a polymer by viscosimetry

2. High pressure cappillary rheometer

- Viscosity function of a polymeric material

- Shear thinning behavior of a polymer melt

3. Rotational rheometry

- Interpretation and theoretical aspects

- Flow characteristics of ketchup

4. Oscillation Rheometer

- Amplitude sweep

- Frequency sweep

- Viscoelastic behavior

- Simple modelling
