Requirements and recommendations:
Thermodynamics 1
Heat- and masstransfer, absolut necessary for participation.
There won't be an additional lecture on heat- and masstransfer!

Aim of the event:
Generally:
• Basic knowledge in important environmental aspects of regenerative energies.
• Basic understandig of physical interrelations of different energy forms and conversions
• Ability to estimate the efficiency of energy technologies and saving potentials

Target group:
Students of mechanical engineering and WING, who attended the lecture heat- and mass transfer.

Comment:
Clear and fresh water and energy are basic conditions for all men.
With dwindling ressources on fossil and nuclear energy we can expect higher prices and political stress. To avoid this it is necessary to research and develop alternative energies and solar desalination.

The methods should be robust and easy to handle, so every man and woman can get enough water and energy.

The challenge is the construction of simple plants, which mimicry nature and can be maintained easily.
