Fundamentals of Process Engineering and Polymer Processing

Aim of the event:
The course deals with the molding processes such as extrusion, calandering, injection molding and flow molding. Coming from the principle of the conservation equations and constitutive equations (material laws), these processes are described by the use of mathematico-physical methods.
These solutions which consider the process specific boundary and starting conditions describe the process behaviour.
The aim of this course is to impart the knowledge of the basic processing behaviour and the mathematico-physical assumptions.

Students of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and chemistry

12. Processing with screw machines
13. Grooved barrel extruders
14. Twin-screw extruders
15. Calendering
16. Injection moulding of thermoplastics
