Aim of the event:
The primary goal of this lecture is to introduce the students to the elements of the ANSI-C++ programming language, to teach the concepts of object oriented programming and thus to show them methods to professional C++-programming. Numerous examples and practical exercises support the understanding and the instantaneous implementation. Lecture and tutorial are closely interwoven to accommodate the content of teaching to the level of awareness of the participants.

- Introduction to C++-programming via simple code examples
- Elementary data types, arithmetical operators and expressions
- Instructions for program control: selection, iteration resp. recurrence and jumps
- Definition and declaration of functions as well as information exchange between functions
- Use of pointers and variables
- Use of structures and unions
- Standard im- and export functions
- Name spaces
- Pre-processor commands
- Modelling
- Object orientation
- Programming style: program layout, comments, naming of constants, variables and functions
