Lectures at LWF
Aim of the event:
Lightweight Materials such as high strength steels, aluminium, magnesium and reinforced plastics take place more and more in technical applications. Regarding the manufacturing process joining techniques obtain a key function because the joint is most relevant for the technical failure of a construction. Goal of the lecture is to acquaint the students with suitable joining techniques for lightweight materials and to discuss specific application topics.
Target group:
Students of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering
Contents:
-Basics lightweight materials
-Specific characteristics and applications of lightweight materials
-Joining of high strength steel
-Joining of aluminium alloys
-Joining of magnesium alloys
-Joining of reinforced plastics
-Joining of multi material constructions
