A reading list will be provided at the beginning of the term.

Comment:
We will focus in this course on segmental as well as on suprasegmental aspects of spoken language in English and in German by analyzing for example acoustic features of vowels and consonants. Processes of connected speech will also be addressed. Special emphasis will be on problems that non-native (German) speakers of English have with regard to their segmental and suprasegmental features.

Please note that it is only possible to get a LN (= 6 LP) in this course. No TN (= 3 LP) can be given for attending this course. If you want to attend, you have to participate actively.
