Language of instruction:
German
Min. | Max. participants:

Requirements and recommendations:
Basic knowledge of mechanics and materials science
Aim of the event:
The course should impart the basics of strength calculations and lifetime predictions of cyclic loaded components. Thus the students are enabled to design and construct technical products and components with appropriate methods in order to avoid damages due to service loadings.
Target group:
Students of mechanical and industrial engineering, information science in engineering, techno mathematics, physics and informatics
Contents:
1. Introduction 2. Service loadings, counting methods and load collectives 3. Material parameters for cyclic loading 4. Methods of lifetime calculations until initiation of a crack 5. Methods of lifetime calculations for components with cracks - Fatigue crack growth under constant and variable amplitude loading
