L.104.12550 Metrology Lab

Course offering details

Instructors: Rainer Botzeck; Dr. Tobias Hemsel

Event type: Internship

Org-unit: Maschinenbau

Displayed in timetable as: MT (Prak.)

Hours per week: 1

Language of instruction: German

Min. | Max. participants: - | -

Requirements and recommendations:
Basic knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry and technical informatics are required

Aim of the event:
The practical course measurement techniques complements the corresponding lecture by means of "earning by doing" To this end, a series of measurement tasks will be studied in detail. The documentation will be handed out before the course. The experiments are conducted self-contained by the students, but a tutor is always present. The results are to be analysed and reported in a protocol which will be certificated.

Target group:
Students of chemical engineering, plastic technology, process technology, mechanical engineering and industrial engineering

Contents:
- measuring chain
- sensors, transformer, multipier
- registration and visualization of measured values

Contact person:
Dipl.-Ing. Rainer Botzeck (Tel.: 05251/60-2790)

Literature:
Lab documentation,
lecture script

Supplementary events:
Measurement Techniques (lecture),
Electrical Engineering,
Electronics

Important notes:
This practical excercise is mandatory and will count towards the exam mark.
The number of participants is limited, so this practical is also avalable during winter.
Students may participate in their 3rd semester if their advancement to higher semester courses would be limited otherwise.
To book the practical, students need to register with the list in the measurement technics lab in P6.1.01.
An introductory lesson will be held in the first course week of the semester, this lesson will be announced on the board in front of the lab and the Dekanat. Seats in this practical will be assigned in this lesson.
