Aim of the event:
The lecture enables the student to apply lightweight principles to specific problems in lightweight construction. It is recognized that lightweight construction requires a consideration of all relevant areas like construction, materials and manufacturing processes simultaneously.
Contents:
In this lecture different aspects of lightweight construction will be addressed:
- Lightweight principles, structural design, stiffening, corrugations; composite construction
- Lightweight materials; material parameters, manufacturing technology
- Consideration of beams as a basic constructional element:
- Axial force-, bending- and temperature loads
- Shear force loads
- Torsional loads
