L.104.13110 Engineering Mechanics 1 - statics

Course offering details

Instructors: Prof. Dr. Hans Albert Richard

Event type: Lecture

Org-unit: Maschinenbau

Displayed in timetable as: TM1

Hours per week: 3

Language of instruction: German

Min. | Max. participants: - | -

Requirements and recommendations:
no requirements

Aim of the event:
The lecture provides an overview of the methods of statics. The systematic development of the basics and the application to practical questions allows the listener the independent solution of static problems for constructions and machines.

Target group:
Students of mechanical engineering, techno mathematics and physics.

Contents:
1 plane statics of rigid bodies
force systems, equilibrium
plane frameworks/machine parts
internal forces
multipart plane frameworks
trusses
2 spatial statics of rigid bodies
forces and moments in space
spatial frames
3 center of gravity of surfaces and bodies
4 friction
static friction, kinetic friction
belt friction
