Introduction to Linguistics

Inhalt:
This course introduces you to the most important aspects of the history of the English language. We will focus on phonological, morphological, syntactic and semantic characteristics and developments by analysing text samples from various periods of English.

Literatur:
A list with selected readings will be provided in the first session.

Ergänzende Veranstaltungen:
There will be additional tutorials to this class which prepare you for the the Prüfungsleistung/Modulprüfung which will be an oral exam.
