Voraussetzungen und Empfehlungen:
Basic knowledge of communication models would be helpful.

Ziel der Veranstaltung:
Contribution to social emotional skills development. Introduction into the GFK concept and some practice of GFK skills which are helpful to accept oneself and others and to avoid hate speech and stereotypization.

Inhalt:
This course will introduce the participants with basics of GFK (resp. nonviolent communication, NVC), and will familiarize with the GFK terms and elements: compassion, presence, empathy, needs, steps of GFK communication and the dialogue. The students will be able to develop their awareness and practice their skills of observation, connection, presence, emphatic listening.
We are going to use Marshall B. Rosenberg’s book: Nonviolent Communication. A Language of Life: Life-Changing Tools for Healthy Relationships. 3rd edition (paperback).
