Introduction to Linguistics

Inhalt:
In contrast to later stages of English, most users of English cannot read and understand Old English texts without specific instructions or help. This is why one of the aims of this class will be to familiarize you with the language and its text on all levels of linguistic description: Phonology, Lexis and Grammar. 

Literatur:
A list with selected readings will be provided in the first session.

Please note that physical attendance is mandatory in the first session so that we can determine the demand. Any spots on the course that are not taken will be given to other students.
