Kommentar:
This seminar engages with selected approaches to language comprehension. In language comprehension, humans have to process and integrate a variety of information, e.g. word meaning and the relation of words within a sentence, in order to infer the intended meaning. How do we accomplish these feats? Which processes are involved in language comprehension?

We will discuss current approaches to language comprehension and critically engage with the respective empirical evidence. A further focus of the seminar will be on the acquisition of language comprehension in second language acquisition. Students will have the opportunity to gain insights into data collection processes and the analysis of learner data.

Please note that this course will very likely take place online and remote-only. The weekly sessions are designed as a mix of interactive real-time sessions and asynchronous sessions.
