Kommentar:
Die von Franz Brentano (1838-1917) entwickelte Deskriptive Psychologie hat einen maßgeblichen Einfluss auf die Philosophie des 20.Jahrhunderts ausgeübt. Einerseits hat sie Edmund Husserls Phänomenologie vorbereitet, andererseits sind ihre Ansätze in den Werken der Begründer der analytischen Philosophie, G.E. Moore und Bertrand Russell, spürbar. In letzter Zeit wird immer deutlicher, dass Brentanos Deskriptive Psychologie auch die ersten Ansätze der Kognitionswissenschaft vorbereitet hat.
