This Seminar offers a close reading of the texts of the France philosopher Émilie Du Châtelet (1706-1749). During her lifetime Du Châtelet scientific work was well received in Europe. Her fields of interest cover not only science, but also ethics and social philosophy. Her work can be seen as an overview of the scientific and academic debates of the Enlightenment-Era.
