Kommentar:
The seminar aims at training students in analytical skills, giving them basic insights into the area of contemporary drama and equipping them with a toolbox of useful dramatic teaching methods. In the first part of the seminar we will analyse selected contemporary dramatic texts. It is our aim to become familiar with them, with their contents and specific style. Towards the end of the semester we will tackle the question of how to deal with those texts at school. For which students are they appropriate and why? What do we have to pay attention to? Which ways can we choose to teach them? The seminar will furthermore introduce students to academic skills such as term paper writing and reading strategies.
