Introduction to Literary Studies

Kommentar:
This course introduces students to some of the seminal texts in modern American drama. We will explore Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun, Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman, Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire, and David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross. We will discuss individual scenes and contemporary productions of these plays as well as the original cultural context.
